120 New Energy Buses Exported to Kyrgyzstan in Bulk
Recently, 120 Ankai new energy buses lined up at the company's R&D and manufacturing base. Carrying the mission of China's "dual carbon" goals, the green fleet departed westward along the ancient Silk Road, bringing low-carbon innovation made in China to the heart of Central Asia—Kyrgyzstan.
Located inland in Eurasia, Kyrgyzstan borders China to the east, Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, and Tajikistan to the south. With over 90% of its terrain covered by mountains and an average elevation exceeding 2,500 meters, it is known as the "Roof of Central Asia."
As a close neighbor and early supporter of the Belt and Road Initiative, Kyrgyzstan has maintained strong strategic cooperation with China. The two countries continue to deepen collaboration in trade, infrastructure, and green development, expanding from traditional industries into new areas of sustainable growth.
Ankai, a pioneer in Chinese bus exports, has long committed to promoting greener travel globally. These newly delivered buses are equipped with spacious interiors, panoramic windows, and fresh, modern designs, perfectly aligning with Kyrgyzstan’s public transportation needs. Built to EU standards and tested for rollover safety, the vehicles offer enhanced reliability in high-altitude conditions.
This batch of 120 new energy buses, financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), represents the largest electric bus order exported to Kyrgyzstan. Covering over 4,000 km en route to Bishkek, they will support the country’s low-carbon transition and improve its urban mobility.
As China's cooperation with Central Asia accelerates, more Chinese manufacturers are moving from simple product exports to complete industrial and technological cooperation. Ankai Bus, as a leading national brand, continues to focus on "intelligent and innovative" solutions, backed by strong after-sales support. The company has already left footprints in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and now Kyrgyzstan, showcasing the strength of Chinese manufacturing across Central Asia.
Beyond Central Asia, Ankai’s new energy buses have also been exported to France, Italy, Uruguay, Nigeria, South Korea, and Japan. Looking ahead, Ankai will continue driving global green mobility through high-performance, environmentally friendly bus solutions—redefining the image of “Made in China” in the passenger transport industry.
